(These are only itinerary Suggestions; but permit us to help you customize your tour)  Once again, do not try to drive the island in your rental car ... you will miss about 75% of the best parts of our island because you don't know where to park or where the un-marked good areas/experiences are located and you may get towed or possibly broken into. Use a trusted & experienced tour guide.

Things to do and stops to make for your Oahu Tour

Witness the island of Oahu. Enjoy local stories, island history, and experience this entertaining and fun-filled tour. All tours include pick-up and delivery to your hotel, vacation rental, cruise ship or the airport.

Remember:  To do ALL of the things mentioned below would take three to five full days of ten (10) hours of touring each day ... but we will give you the “biggest slice” of our island on a one-day tour. Simply ask us for help.

 

Honolulu/Town-Side Tour: 

(All times noted are only estimates)

  • Honolulu Aquarium (1 hour)

  • Manoa Valley Falls & Pool (in the rain forest) hike rated easy to medium in difficulty. Hiking boots or good cross-trainer footwear is a MUST for safety … no flip-flops permitted. (1.5 hours+-)

  • Local food stops for lunch (we know the good places to eat)

  • National Cemetery of Pacific ( one hour)

  • Drive the new H-3 Highway through a one-mile tunnel with spectacular vistas.

 

Waikiki to East Shore/Windward Side Tour:

  • Diamond Head Road Lookout (20 minutes and no hiking required)

  • Diamond Head Crater “mid level” hike to the Top (1.5 Hours)

    Blow Hole Lookout, Eternity Beach, and Sandy Beach. (.5 hours)
    Sandy Beach Park (Vista only; no swimming)

  • Makapu’u Lookout (20 minutes)

  • Makapu’u Lighthouse easy hike; paved; even wheel chairs can be pushed up this hike/road. (1.5 hours up and down)

  • Waimanalo Beach or Bellows Beach on the Windward Side.

  • The famous Pali Lookout (30 minutes)

  • The "Old Pali" Highway in the rain forest

  • National Military Cemetery of the Pacific (1 hour)

  • Foster Botanical Gardens (1 hour)

  • The Bishop Museum:  Hawaiian art and history (2-5 hours)

North/East Shore Drive Tour (Our “Best” Tour)

  • Island Treasures art gallery and store, Kailua (30 Minutes)

  • Byodo-In Buddhist Temple (Ring the giant gong, see black swans and Koi Fish Ponds).

  • Road side stands:  fruits/veggies/flowers/art

  • Sunshine Art Gallery - 100% local Hawaiian artists

  • China man’s Hat Park (island beauty/photo op)

  • Kualoa Ranch – horse back riding or all terrain vehicles mini-shopping (2 to 4 hours) Reservations required well in advance.

  • Mormon Temple in the town of Laie for a quick photo op.

  • Laie Point Lookout (30 minutes)  An awesome and spiritual local venue..

  • Shrimp Farms lunch stop (Garlic Shrimp plates + other styles of shrimp)

  • Famous Sunset Beach (20-30 minutes)

  • Famous "Ted's Bakery" for some Chocolate Haupia Pie, Pineapple cheesecake and more.

  • Pupukea area on the north shore: Snorkel or swim at
    "Three Tables" mini beach or Shark's Cove (no sharks) Snorkeling adventure ... depending on waves and tides (20 minutes to 2.0 hours)

  • Waimea Bay (swim beach or dive off the rocks) 1-2 Hours.

  • Secret Sea Turtle Beach (30 minutes + -)

  • Haleiwa Town (1.5 hours … food and shopping.

  • Shave Ice, in Haleiwa, or along the road up to the North Shore
    Haleiwa Town: Shark Cage Adventure:  (3 hours)

  • Old Waialua Sugar Mill to visit the soap factory and chocolate/coffee store and witness what a 65 Foot Ocean Wave looks like from the inside.

  • Coffee Fields and Pineapple Fields; drive by only

  • Dole Plantation:  Giant maze, gardens, children's train ride,   shops, and pineapple ice cream.  (30 minutes to 1.5 hours)

  • Drive back to Ko’olina/Waikiki/Town/Hotel/Airport/Vacation rental or Cruise Ship via H-2 and H-1 (45 minutes to one hour +- depending on traffic, road work or accidents; remember we live on a rock out in the middle of the Pacific Ocean)
